"Affinity discounts come off the sticker before cashback math kicks in. A Mercury Perks SaaS deal at 50% off beats stacking 4% portal + 2% card on full price by a wide margin. Apple EPP at 8% off MSRP beats most cashback portals before stacking. Don't skip the affinity layer."
Stacking order — where each layer fits
- Retailer sweep — major + niche retailers per category
- Gmail offer scan — both accounts since current year
- eBay Browse API — same-SKU match check (see eBay skill doc)
- Affinity / member-discount programs — this doc, category-matched (NEW layer)
- Cashback portal — one per checkout, highest rate from the 11 portals
- Credit card cashback — Mercury (business) or Ollo (personal), both ~2% TBD
- Speed-vs-price matrix — three paths minimum
- Verify — navigate, screenshot, confirm

How this list gets used
Every deal-stack run starts here. Before doing the standard retailer sweep, Claude identifies the product category and checks the affinity triage cheat-sheet above. The affinity discount (when found) comes off the sticker price before the cashback math applies. Then the standard 6-layer stack runs against the discounted price.

When to update this catalog
- New affinity program activated → add it under the correct category, then redeploy this hub doc
- Program access lost (membership lapse, eligibility change) → move to "NOT applicable" section
- New niche retailer used regularly → add to the niche retailer table with portal coverage notes
- Promo code discovered in Gmail → add to the Walmart Business / business-account row with code + expiration
